29 Oct 00 - 08:34 PM (#330021) Subject: Your Dark Name... From: GUEST,Peppermint What is your dark side name? Start with the first vowel in your first name and trade it with the first vowel in your last name and so on for all the vowels. Extra vowels in your last name can be continued through to your middle name. ex. Joshua Peter MacKay becomes Jashaa Peter MocKuy so the middle name would be dropped. He also has more vowels in his first name than his lat one vowel stays the same. You could do this including y. Thus he becomes Jashay Peter MocKua again dropping the middle name. Wendy Anne Kimper can become either Windy Enne Kempar or Winde Anne Kempyr. Who are are you? I am Kithlain Austin Fatzpetreck Kyra Isis O'Loughlon becomes Koro Usos Y'Laighlin OR Kyro Osus A'Liighlon |

That's the darkside Matt---ROCKBOY. Big hugs to you, T2T! --ROCKBOY |

Thyme (who actually attended ROCKFEST 2000 with her kids and quite enjoyed Nickleback, Mars Electric, 3Doors Down and Godsmack, and thinks Creed songs like 'Arms Wide Open' and 'What If' are awesome...oh and I like that new song by the Wallflowers that isn't really about Sam Cook, too) Well, it is the darkside thread, eh? |

29 Oct 00 - 10:57 PM (#330141) Subject: RE: BS: Your Other Name From: Matt_R Oh no...now I don't like gangsta rap! You know, all those folks at Rockfest 2000...I know their names, but never heard any one their music. Creed is just bloody amazing! My fav song from Human Clay is "Faceless Man"...love that mandolin! And My Own Prison is great too...just listening to it today. "Pity For A Dime" fits it perfectly with ROCKBOY's persona. |

29 Oct 00 - 11:34 PM (#330163) Subject: RE: BS: Your Other Name From: Matt_R Well EJ, the voice is part of the genre. Eddy Vedder (Pearl Jam), Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), all have the same similar sound. Since folks like Creed and Days of The New and Seven Mary Three are grunge influenced bands, it comes with the territory. Heck, I even sing like that when singing grunge-style rock. You wouldn't believe how easy singing like that comes to you. It's very naturalistic, almost basic and primitive. Screw the high-pitched, whiney voices of late 80's hair bands...grunge is as close to a primeval folk sound as rock will get. Especially Days of The New, who are an acoustic grunge-influenced band. |

30 Oct 00 - 12:34 PM (#330421) Subject: RE: BS: Your Other Name From: Kim C I have several other names which I mentioned briefly in the Star Wars thread. Old pals call me Feathers, which is my maiden name (really). Everyday people just call me Kim. But then there's Nadine, who likes big hair and high heels and is a certified Party Girl and once in a while drinks too much to remind herself why she shouldn't. There's Louisa, Miss Sentimental, cries at movies, wears heart on sleeve. MoonPie, Frank Zappa's illegitimate Southern Daughter, craftswoman, musician, erstwhile Earth Mama, likes tattoos. Svetlana is the glamourous one, with her faux leopard cuffs & collar & fur hat. Take your pick! |

30 Oct 00 - 01:14 PM (#330442) Subject: RE: BS: Your Other Name From: Trevor I remember reading somewhere, might have been Mary Stewart, that when a cat is just sitting there staring into the fire, he'she is contemplating his/her 'other' name, which only he'she knows. Incidentally, to find out your porn star name take the name of your first paet and your Mum's maiden name. Mine's Rex French - look good on posters? |
