Hi Martin,

I've always wanted to go to the Top End Festival - maybe I'll get there next year.

G'day Helen - thanks for that...

Got a mind of their own, those blue clicky things...

And, wouldn't ya know it - as soon as I announce the URL of the Top End Folk Club, the server goes into hibernation!

Ah well, I've emailed nbci with a 'what gives'; if they don't sort it out soonish I'll find another freebie server for the Club site...

The Top End Folk Club web-site is back on-line now, nbci have asked me to extend their most sincere aplogies for the interruption to their regularly scheduled broadcast, especially to mudcatters...

Are there any Alice Springs Folkies who wanna give us any hints about the next Top Half Folk Fest - the site could do with a bit of an update...

Great festival. I was lucky enough to be a guest there a couple of times in the past, once in Alice and once in Darwin. Had a whale of a time. My regards to all at the Top End.

Dear Martin Every time I click your nbci thing I am told I'm forbidden to enter. What dark secrets do you have hidden there? Hrodelbert (Bob Elwell)

Can't remember the exact year, but it was the same year you had Ted Egan, Bernard Carney, and Bloodwood. I came shared a room at the Transit with Dave Evans. Tony Sutter would know what year it was. You held the concerts in a little arts centre on the outskirts of the CBD.

OH YES, Also Phil Beck and I were also the judges for the Chorus cup. We devised a scoring system on originallity, performance, obscenity and so on and so forth.

We eventually found a reason to disqualify all the contestants and awarded the cup to ourselves.

G'day Hrodelbert

Bebother and befusticate NBCI!

They have the Top End Folk Club (and other) sites officially listed as:
"Some member services may be experiencing difficulties."

Their server seems to have dropped in and out ever since I posted the original notice - all I can suggest is a fairly lame 'please try again later...'

PS to Bugsy: I'll see Tony this Sunday at the session...

Cheers
