Skulle vilja ha texten till någonting-Lettermore

I bet it´s incorrect to ask question in another language then English in The mudcat world.

Actually it's perfectly okay to ask it in Irish Gaelic, apparently. Not that I understand Irish Gaelic, or whatever language you're writing in either.

Laika, you've got a chip on your shoulder. Very unbecoming. I'm sure you'd look (and feel) much better without it.

It is not at all incorrect, Laika. But many of us will not be of any help to you because we cannot translate your post. Me, for instance

Allan I wanna tell you something, but the problem is that I don´t know how to...becouse I can´t write correctley in English thats why I sometimes use Swedish and infact sometimes there is S. here, for example QRS. The Thread I sent in now about the lyrics to Peggy Lettermore was more a point to an earlier thread where I asked about the lyrics to Greensleeves. There Malcolm D. where verry fast to type a massage that I was not suppose to search for lyrics the way I did. As I said in that Thread I´m sick of this You-are-a-new-one-so-a-just-have-to-tell-you-how-we-act-and-behave-here-at-mudcat.

So i take a walk on the wild side and did something incorrect

Well, Laika, I suppose we all have done that from time to time. I think you can write in any language you choose. You may not receive tons of replies though.

Laika, I wish I could speak/write ANY other language as well as you write in English. I am happy you found the lyrics you were seeking. Thank you for walking on the wild side. It is nice here isn't it!

Laika:

Please see your earlier thread,  here  in which I have apologised for what must have seemed to be an unfriendly reaction.  We do get a lot of requests, you see, from people who want us to send information to them and who don't seem willing to do anything to help themselves, or to return here to see if their question has been answered.  Like a lot of people here, I am more than happy to spend (sometimes) hours finding the answer to a question if it is one that a person cannot easily find for themself.  Clearly I was wrong to suppose that you were one of those lazy people; I had only your first, brief message to tell by.  I do hope that you will feel able to return here whenever you have questions about folk music; I, for one, will always be glad to help where I am able.  As to using languages other than English; as has been said, it does reduce the likelihood that many people will understand what you say, though we certainly do have regular visitors here who are fluent in a great many languages.  As a rule, as I'm sure you know, English is the lingua franca of the Internet purely for reasons of convenience; no value-judgements are implied.  I regret that I have no Swedish; though I did learn Icelandic for a while, long ago, I have forgotten the little that I once knew!

Hello Laika,
to search for older threads or lyrics in the database there are a few ways:
On the Main Forum Page you will find:
  • a blue box at the left top corner: the Digitrad database search box (searches the database only)
  • the "Supersearch" a bit lower down (it says "Digitrad and Forum Search"). This will search messages and database
  • The Message Filter to the right of the supersearch. Type some keyword (something from the thread title) into the filter box and put select something from the Age box (this determines how far back the forum will be searched). This searches forum only.

Hvis du ikke kan forstår Engelsk, Laika, hvordan, faen, forventer du til a synge et sang på Irsk?
An bhfuil tú abáltá Gaelige a laibhairt i det hele tatt?
