For those UK catters, our own Liz the Squeak is on "Songs of Praise" tomorrow 12 November 00 at 17.30 she is in the choir but her voice is so distinctive (esp. singing descant!!!!)has been known to remove woodworm from church pews at 40 paces.. a chance to hear one of our own...

You said it Morticia!
Those sickly sweet presenters are hard to stomach
Clinton Hammond has already made me all tearful this morning so tomorrow I will no doubt be blubbing quietly during songs of praise and may miss Liz singing. Good on you Liz for taking part - no blubbing (or squeaking) during the performance please, save it for later

Congratulations, Liz! That is wonderful.

I just checked the BBC America listings and don't see that program listed anywhere. They are running the same junk they've been runnning for the past few weeks, "British Men Behaving Badly"; "League of Gentlemen; etc. etc. Wish they would change their scheduling!

The coincidence of us purchasing another VCR last week has nothing what so ever to do with this event.....

I do not promise to be in shot, but I will be going through a video of it with the tickertick (frame by frame) and we will see what we can do......

It was a bit mushy, but I didn't choose the hymns, so don't blame me for the content. And yes, there is a descant.

VCR?
You should have bought bigger heals girl!!!
...and Dame Edna glasses
That way we couldn't miss you

(what times it on then? and which sickly presenter do I have to endure?)

Gay Search - yes, the sickliest of the lot, but we only had to put up with 2 pieces to camera.... it's on at 5.30 (don't you have a Radio Times up there??). I'm wearing 3 chopsticks in my hair, sticking up like some sort of TV ariel, with a grey suit with poppy and regimental cap badge (my great great uncle's regiment, Durham Light Infantry) on the lapel, and a plum coloured shirt. Bigger heels just make me get vertigo and Dame Edna glasses make me look like Elton John. Besides, it was supposed to be sombre and tasteful.... wait until the one they'll broadcast next year!! I'm in a shirt like an explosion in a paint factory!

such bad spelling - sorry - but I was watching and typing at the same time. The Last Post always gets me
I wouldn't like to have to perform something that important solo on such an occasion - well done that man - and Liz and the rest.

Liz was hiding at the back Bagpuss but I spied the remains of a chinese takeaway protruding from her hair.

Like Bagpuss I had the programme on without knowing I could expect to see someone so (in)famous on it. I was making tea at the time and singing along. As both my parents were from West Ham the location was also of interest. If only I'd read this before

OK so it was Pam Rhodes, I'm sorry, I always get them muddled up.... I was visible on a few occasions, recognisable for at least one of them, yes, the chopsticks gave it away.... and yes, that is me you can hear holding on to the notes at the end of at least 3 hymns......

Best of all, did you recognise the timpani player??? The great and famous Tristan Fry, the man who may still hold the world record for playing the most percussion instruments in 60 seconds or something like that, and once the mainstay, with John Williams, of SKY.... Ah, so close!!

Both videos worked so if anyone wants a copy or two......?!

LTS - watch out for the next thrilling installment in February!

well I kept my eyes peeled but didn't see you or your chopsticks at all......remarkably plain people you have in your church and was it really necessary to set fire to the bugler?

Er... I may have a couple of copies of a video available.... long and short play versions, available with sighting map and description of the woman in the big black hat sitting behind me who hummed along to the last post, so that I was almost obliged to slap her..... I was there, honest! And the plain people are not all from my church, particularly the one in the lilac trouser suit....

Next Time try and get your headgear to resemble an arrow head so that you can't possibly be missed
Christmas is sure gonna be fun at your place ....'would anyone like to see the video again?'....pause...freeze frame ...rewind!
And I still haven't heard you sing solo yet and now they gone and changed from that stop/starty/disconnnect Hearme thing to some other Dog Food talk system that refuses to download to my computer - have you got a bawdy tape available as a stocking filler?

Well I have actually trod the boards a few times, mostly am dram, and a revue or two.... still waiting for Mr Speilberg to "find" me.... heck, it worked for Harrison Ford didn't it?

And I'll probably say "watch it with that crozier, you could have someone's eye out with it!"....
