am looking for words to this song, "ain't no sweet man, worth the salt of my tears.

heard it by norma waterson, and played it to my daughter after boyfriend trouble, and would like to print it out to pin on the wall.

did several searches but couldn't find it,any pointers would be appreciated

cheers

bill

THERE AIN'T NO SWEET MAN THAT'S WORTH THE SALT OF MY TEARS

By Fred Fisher

Shaking like a leaf on tree
That's coming loose from its stem
Shaking like a leaf on a tree
Because I'm coming loose from my man

I'm like a weeping willow, weeping on my pillow
It's been for years
There ain't no sweet man that's worth the salt of my tears

Down and down he dragged me
Like a pain he nagged me
For years and years
There ain't no sweet man that's worth the salt of my tears

Although I'm low
Still I know
I must tell him goodbye
Rather than have that man
See me lay down and die

So broken hearted sisters
Aggravating misters
Lend me your ears
There ain't no sweet man that's worth the salt of my tears

It is probably not really worth the effort as it is a bit fast and tinkly. A CD of Norma's version is the best bet, but if you wish you can send a personal message to me with your E Mail address and I can send the file to you.

I still have to sort out a happy place in Sydney where to find this sort of stuff...and some Fairport Convention recordings as well - no,please don't suggest the Folkways shop thanks...
(Wish I could get capitalistic enough to get a credit card and shop around the 'cat shop, one day. When I give up my leftist background.)
