17 Nov 00 - 02:20 PM (#342529) Subject: Mommy Moon From: Judy Cook My friend Pat Campbell is looking for words & tune to a childhood half remembered song. "Mommy Moon" Parts I remember are: The day is past & gone & what is done is done / If you ain't done your best, you'll be the sufferin' one --- ------------- come -------- and take your rest / And get up in the morning fit to do your best --- Oh, Mommy Moon, the sun's going down pretty soon / -------------- I'll be a child that'll make you smile / Good ol' Mommy Moon

IMT's putting on a CD release concert for me (doubling with Reed Martin - oboy) a week from Monday. Pat Campbell brought up "Mommy Moon" at a great midFestival breakfast at NOMAD. I've never heard of it either, but feel sure someone on Mudcat will. One of the things that made that breakfast great was Kendal admitting that he had "John Cherokee" going in his head and our two long tables erupting into about 10 minutes of song. --Judy |
