Lyr/Chords Req: Ripple (Grateful Dead)

I'm looking for words and chords to a song that starts:

"If my words did glow with the colors of sunshine..."

It has a chorus that starts "Ripples in clear water...."

Kind of country sounding, but not really.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi, Guest The song is titled RIPPLE. It a Greatful Dead song from the album Workingmans Dead, I think. Try looking at www.harmonycentral.com I'm sorry I don't know how to do the BCT (blue clicky thing) It is one of my favorite dead tunes. Good luck. Tom

It's actually off their album American Beauty. Great song, with some sweet mandolin by David Grisman.

"Ripple" is from the Grateful Dead's "American Beauty," not "Workingman's Dead."

It's also on:

Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band- Almost Acoustic

Jimmie Dale Gilmore- One Endless Night

Persuasions- Might As Well: The Persuasions Sing Grateful Dead

She's never recorded it, but Rosalie Sorrels does a great version.

Thanks for the fast answers. Having the title supplied, I was able to find it in the DT. The words I've heard are a lttle different but not substantially.

Chord suggestions would be appreciated if possible.

Thanks again.

Words from memory, but I should be able to give you the chords:

(G)If my words did flow with the heat of (C)sunshine/And my tunes were played on the harp un(G)strung/Would you hear my voice come through the (C)music/Would you (G)hold in (D)near, (C)as it were your (G)own (same for second half of the verse)

(Am)Ripple in still (D)water/ Where there (G)is no pebble (C)tossed/ Nor (A)wind to (D)blow/ You who (G) choose (etc.)

I'm not too good on line breaks, but hopefully you can make sense out of this.
