Hugs to CarolC. Also to Mousethief and family, Mike Bennet, spaw and family and to any other 'catter who has either suffered a loss or has been worried over friends and relatives. It seems to have been a tough time for a few lately.

Jeri, I suppose I might have to admit to being a Do-Be, but Miss Fran I ain't!! I even tried to say "shit" on the PalTalk room and it censored me!!!

and there was this bunch of under 10 kids last Sat. nite at my dance gig that I could cheerfully have throttled. They were bouncing the dance floor so hard, the cases kept falling off the chairs they were on, and the speakers were in serious danger of a foot or 2 in the diaphrams! Parents!!! (but our babies are just having a little funnnnnnnn...........)

Many, many snogs and gentle hugs to CarolC; Alex and family; Mike Bennet and his dad; Alison and her sister, Rosie (anyone heard how she is?); Pat & Karen and the boys; Joan, Mike Putt's mom; Ebbie's friend, George, and anyone else who needs a good hug and snog. I guess I'd better add my name to the snog list. My father is having a cardiac catheterization today to find out if he will get an angioplasty or bypass operation. He went into the hospital overnight Friday with chest pains (no heart attack, fortunately), and failed his stress test yesterday. (I told him to study!) He's in good shape generally, but they said he has one or two blockages that will need to be addressed. I'm sure he's going to be fine, but I'm still a bit concerned.

Hugs and snogs to all.

First, I want to send my biggest and warmest hugs and snogs to all of the people mentioned on this thread who are in need of them.

I want to thank Micca for thinking of me when he started this thread, and I want to thank all who have sent me hugs, snogs, and any other kind of good thing to me in this thread. It's people like you who make the difficulties of life bearable.

I would like to send special hugs and snogs to Skipjack K8 who is experiencing some concern for his father's health right now.

Neil, I "retired" from re-enacting several years ago during my first wife's illness. I didn't have time or money and the hobby was going through a phase of power plays and just wasn't fun anymore. I still have my trusty Enfield and some of the accoutrements, but haven't taken the field since somewhere around 1990. I did participate in some of the 125th anniversary events, such as 1st Manassas, Sharpsburg, Monocacy. The big events were impressive, but the smaller ones were a lot of fun, as they tended to be more laid-back, with time to relax and play.

I do miss a lot of the friends I had then, wearing both blue AND gray. My (new) wife and I are now doing Mountain Man rendezvous, which are sort of like the re-enactments, but without the drill. Keep your chin up and your head down!

A couple of posts up from yours jaze, will tell you a snog is a big, wet, sloppy, smooch (kiss).

Jeffp - please let us know how things go for your dad. I will be thinking of him and you and your family.

Benjamin, you are in my thoughts, as well.
