Pete Seeger in Virginia!

Hey 'Catters!

I just heard from a co-worker who volunteers for the Virginia Festival of the Book (which happens every year here in Charlottesville) that Pete Seeger will be one of next years guests. I don't know whether he will be performing or just talking, but either way it is pretty darned cool. The dates, I think, are March 21-23 2001. I'll do some digging for the details unless other folks can come up with them.

Update:

The Virginia Festival of the Book runs from March 21st-25th. According to their website, Pete Seeger is participating in the childrens' program, although they don't say in what capacity. He may have a book of childrens songs to promote, or something like that. Don't know if he'll be performing, but I think they'd be crazy NOT to have him here as a performer. Other people on the childrens program include: Joe Bruchac, Phil Hoose, Tom House, Paul Jacobs, Mary Lyons, Kathy May, Norma Fox Mazer, Elizabeth Spires, Beth Sutton & Mark Teague.

That's all I have for now.
