As seen through the mists darkly:

Sisters, sisters,
There never have been such devoted sisters.
Many men have tried to break us up, but no one can.

Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing.
When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome,
She wore the dress, and I stayed home.

Through all kinds of weather, we'll stick together,
The same in the rain or sun.
Two different faces, but in tight places,
We think and we act as one.

[Missing line]
[Missing line]
Lord help the mister, who comes between me and my sister.
And Lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man.

A friend and I want to write a parody based upon the song "Sisters" but neither of us remember it well enough... I recall "Sisters, Sisters... There were never such devoted sisters..... Many guys have tried to break us up but no one can.. Lord, help the mister who comes between me and my Sister. Lord help the guy who comes between me and my man" Thanks for your help.

Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir
I'm here to keep my eye on her

Caring, sharing
Every little thing that we are wearing
When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome
She wore the dress and I stayed home

All kinds of weather we stick together
The same in the rain or sun
Two different faces but in tight places
We think and we act as one, ha-ha-ha-ha

Those who've seen us
Know that not a thing can come between us
Many men have tried to split us up but no one can
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And lord help the sister who comes between me and my man

[instrumental interlude]

All kinds of weather we stick together
The same in the rain or sun
Two different faces but in tight places
We think and we act as one, ah-ha

Those who've seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us
Many men have tried to split us up but no one can
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And lord help the sister who comes between me and my man

[brief instrumental break]

Sisters! Sisters!
Sister, don't come between me and my man!

Small misapprehension: This song was actually sung in the movie "White Christmas", first by Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen, then in drag by Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. It was written by Irving Berlin.

On second thought, having just NOW looked at the date of this request, I have NOT sent email! Hopefully, Bronwyn was able to find this elsewhere. Hope it's useful to someone!

Well, I'm glad to get this sorted out. We've had discussion on this particular song before. I didn't remember the movie well enough to say it wasn't there.
