My Wifes' band. The 24TH Street KLEZMER! Band, will be on PBS at 8:00pm 13 Dec 2000. The show is called CD parade and is about small festivals around the country.
You won't see me. I was sick.
Tune in and watch.

I've checked my local PBS station's schedule and I see they're not showing your program. They're having "Three Tenors Christmas" instead. (This is in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.)

What is CD Parade? Is it a regular series? Is it a locally made show? What station? I would be glad to contact my local station and ask them to play more folk music, if I thought there was a chance it would do any good. ARE there any regular folk-music shows out there? My station doesn't carry any.

The program is called CD Highway and highlights music in Alachau County, Florida. troll's wife's band is indeed on it, including an interview with the long suffering woman herself. The program will air at least three more times during the current season. It airs down here on 12/14. Neat sound, IMO.

They don't have it listed in Wyoming, either. When I go to www.pbs.org and do a search for "CD Highway" I get 403 hits of possible programs! Anything more to narrow it down? I'd love to see if it is scheduled for a later date.

According to this site, CD Highway is distributed by American Public Television, not PBS (which doesn't mean PBS stations won't carry it - only that not all PBS stations will carry it).

There is also supposed to be a site for the program CD Highway, but it wasn't working when I tried it.

Well, I was half right on the title, which, for me, isn't half bad. I guess tha media will never quote me as "a reliable source."
