04 Feb 02 - 10:35 AM (#641991) Subject: RE: Mr Bojangles From: Steve in Idaho Jed's chords are pretty close to the way I do it - except the chorus is Am - G - Am - G -three note quick run up to- C and a bass run down to Am. If you ever come into Paltalk on Sunday I'll do the song for you if you wish. It's one of my favorites. And there's a number of ways to do the song. I think a lot of it depends on your personal musical style and vocal range. Steve |

03 Jul 07 - 02:23 PM (#2093270) Subject: RE: Mr Bojangles From: GUEST,Jay Don't forget Bob Dylan's version. I've heard people miscredit Bob Dylan as being the song writer because they knew he sang it. The first version I heard was the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. |

03 Jul 07 - 04:12 PM (#2093334) Subject: RE: Mr Bojangles From: dwditty slightly off topic, as far as the song goes, but there is some good video of Bojangles (Robinson) on You Tube - an addition to Sandman Sims, Bunny Brown, Chuck & Chuckles, Sammy D Jr and lots of others. I love the hoofers. A few weeks ago I performed Ain't Misbehavin' accompanied by a tap dancer...a real high point for me. dw |
