From: Micca

I am looking for the lyrics of a song, I think by Miriam Backhouse, certainly sung by her on one of her albums years ago, I think "dark side of the moon" is the title of the song, all I can remember of the lyrics are
" I walked into the room tonight with my usual savoire Faire
I walked up to the man, and I asked for a drink with my well-rehearsed Nonchalant air
observing all the conventions, I said talking of you was a bore.
.. and I cant remember the rest of the first verse, but the Chorus contains
" wont you come fly with me thru the mist of morning
and I will show you the dark sside of the moon

THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
(Lyrics & Music: © Rosie Hardman 1975)

I walked into the room that night with unusual savoir faire.
I walked up to the man and I asked for a drink with a well-rehearsed nonchalant air.
Observing all the conventions, I said that talking of you was a bore.
All of my good intentions disappeared when you walked in the door!

CHORUS: Won't you come fly with me through the mists of morning,
And I'll show you the dark side of the moon?
Did you think that I'd forgotten how to fly with you?
Did you think that I'd be over you so soon?

Well, it felt like an act of treason, that old familiar glow,
But I drowned the voice of reason in the spirit of Mexico.
You looked so right and I felt a bit tight and I've always been a fool for you.
When you kissed me goodnight, I just gave in the fight. I thought, "Do what you wanna do." CHO.

You can see that I've been moving from the new songs that I play.
It sure doesn't take much proving to show I've been lovin' along the way!
There was a teacher. there was an actor. They taught me to give inside.
But you, my gentle gypsy friend, you teach me to live with pride. CHO.

Thanks for keeping the music alive! :)

s6k - the side of the moon away from the sun at anytime is dark. At the time of the lunar cycle when there isn't any visible moon (esp during an eclipse of the sun) all the side of the moon facing us on earth is dark.
