Who would be your pick? What I'm picturing here is your living room, friends and family, soft glow of the fire and your favorite artist....just imagine Joni Mitchell, Ry Cooder, David Wilcox..

Who would you choose??

If I had to pick just one person from a fantasy list of probably several hundred it would have to be Dave Van Ronk. I'd love to watch him play guitar. Maybe pick up a bit of his technique. And, his stories are wonderful; not to mention his great style.

It would have to be that (not too bad looking)guy from England with his guitar I met in Spain some years ago playing 60's songs at a campfire on the beach!

Why let some one else have all the fun? Nathan thinks to himself....Why shouldn't I be the one performing? In a Spoken Word type of thing....

Tom Paxton - my first singer/songwriter hero

I'd like to thank him in person for all the pleasure he's given me over the past thirty-odd years!

It would have to be Mississippi John Hurt with a special opening set by Dave Van Ronk. That is if my plan to reserruct the body of John Hurt succeeds

Plume - It's great to see another Brave Combo Polkaholic here at the Mudcat. For my house concert I'd like Arlo Guthrie/Pete Seegar along with Al Pettaway and Amy White. Or perhaps Tim O'Brien and Altan and Solas. But Mississippi John Hurt would have to be on the list. Geoff Muldar too.

Dougie Maclean, Kate Rusby, my friend Davy Axtell and me in a free-for-all session. With Guinness. :) And maybe the Clumsy Lovers could come along, too.

Interesting question,

Because I live near Front Porch Music (Valpo IN) and LVD's (Middlebury, IN)(send your bio to these guys, Rick!), I've seen many of the above mentioned in a very intimate setting.

What I'd like, I suppose, is to see folks who would be very unlikely to perform in an intimate setting. Therefore--Dream big--

James Taylor
John Pizzarelli
Paul McCartney (just him and his Olsen guitar)

Rick Fielding. Lanfranc..I'll tell him the next time I see him! Mousethief..I will also tell Gordon. Last Sat. He and I spent an evening celebrating the 80th birthday for an old friend, Helen Schneyer. It was a hell of a good evening. There also were, Joan Sprung, Barbara Carns, Irene Salatan, her twin sister, Ellen, and Lisa Newstadt. What a crew!
