Are we in the middle of a folk revival and not noticing it? Example: Shanty party in Portland Maine draws upwards of 50 participants from as far away as Ontarion and NYC. (Admittedly those two are mudcatters so their sanity is questionable anyway. *BG*) Example: Jez Lowe And The Bad Pennies plays the Chocolate Church. The director of the facility considers canceling because there are only 3 or 4 reservations made. Almost 200 people show up. |
