21 Jan 01 - 07:23 AM (#378915) Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: 2 Songs please. From: Snuffy The tune for The Sick Note is a slowed-down version of "The Garden Where The Praties Grow", which is in the DT. If you go to the Yet Another Digital Tradition site you should be able to get the musical notation as a .GIF file which you can print out. Wassail! V |

I remember there being lots of Real Audio to download, and I thought there were lyrics too? I've not got the address on my new computer. Good luck. Noreen http://www.showofhands.co.uk/ |

08 Jan 12 - 05:21 PM (#3287199) Subject: Lyr Add: THE MAN IN GREEN From: Jim Dixon THE MAN IN GREEN Written by Steve Knightley As sung by Show of Hands on "Lie of the Land" (1996) 1. Storm clouds in the distance, sky speaks of rain The wind comes from the west and autumn's here again As the darkness gathers, let's light the season's flame CHORUS: With fire and water, land and sea, The man in green and his company Will take the land and shake the throne, Make his stand and claim his own. 2. The countryside is restless, the harvest almost home. Someone stirs the woodland and walks the paths alone. Marching men approaching and hunting horns are blown. CHORUS 3. Days we will remember, a time we won't forget. Hours of celebration long after sun has set. Voices joined together; we'll raise the country yet. CHORUS |
