I don't post very much (there are a lot of people in this site that are much more expert than me!) but I enjoy and appreciate the information I get from reading the postings. I am planning a trip to Ireland - sometime hopefully between March and May before the airfares go up. I'd like to find a music festival, workshop, school, etc. to attend. Last year I attended the Tommy Makem songschool in South Armagh. It was wonderful, but I'd like to try something different. I'm primarily a singer although I play a bit of guitar. I'd probably be happy with a relatively small, local musical event and don't have a particular region in mind. I may have to get around by train or bus since I don't know if I have the nerve to rent a car by myself and drive on the other side of the road! Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks! |

There are singers' events and workshops and one advantage is that it's very easy to get to by public transport - I go on the bus from England. May see you there! |
