I' think it could be Randy Travis's song "Is it still Over"? off the 8x10 Album.
Off the top of my head.

Is it still over?
Are we still through?
Since my phone still ain't ringing
I presume it still ain't you
I've half the mind
To take some time
And find somebody new
But I'm not too sure if I'm still over you.

IS IT STILL OVER?
Ken Bell, Larry Henley

Being without you has turned out to be so inconvenient,
And wishing I was with you just seems to use up all my time.
You've been gone so long that it's hard to recall just how the dream went,
And all but this broken heart in me I guess is doing fine.

CHORUS: Is it still over? Are we still through?
Since my phone still ain't ringing, I assume it still ain't you.
I've half a mind to take the time to find somebody new,
But I'm not too sure that I'm still over you.

That lie that I tried to slip by you was told with good intentions.
It was just another way to say "I love you" and protect you from the truth,
And half a pound of cure is surely worth a half an ounce of pure prevention,
And trying to explain while I'm insane is the hardest thing I've ever tried to do. CHORUS

If I repeat myself it's 'cause I've nothing else to do,
And I'm not too sure that I'm still over you.
I'm not too sure that I'm still over you.

[Recorded by Randy Travis on "Old 8x10" and several later collections.]

Thanks for posting those lyrics, Jim, and for reminding me of the title, Brakn.   I've been trying to think of it for a while now and all I could remember was that Randy Travis sang it.

Oh, and Sorcha, in case you haven't discovered it already, your link doesn't go to the lyrics of a song.   I'd be curious to see/hear the other song.

Definitely check out the Randy Travis recording. One of the songs that made me fall in love with his voice, and it's one of the best lines EVER!

I'm a huge fan, he chooses great songs (or used to... I think he went a little over the deep end, religion-wise).

I often wonder about these guys who write great songs. It must be fun to have them done so well by terrific singers, but then get so little fame and glory for them.

One of the things I'm finding Wikipedia good for is identifying who wrote what songs. There are many lyrics sites on the web, but most of them make it difficult, if not impossible to submit corrections or added info, such as composers. On Wiki, if someone posts partial or incorrect info about a song, it's likely someone will correct or supplement the info before long.   (Unfortunately, Wiki won't allow posting lyrics that are still under copyright protection, but it is a good source for songwriter info and for who recorded what song when, etc.)
