04 Feb 01 - 11:45 PM (#390148) Subject: A Change in Direction From: JedMarum I've have made a significant change in music direction, or at least in the direction of my music activity. It might be a bit odd to bother posting a thread on the subject, but the issue has some Mudcat impact - so I thought it best to start the thread.
I was asked to audition for a band that has been formed to back a Texas-based, up-and-coming Nashville star named Chris Johnson, (a truly fine female vocalist). I auditioned, liked the folks, liked the plan, was offered a position with that band and I accepted. We will begin working together in rehearsal and (demo)recording studios very soon. I expect we'll be working Texas and the Southwest region by Spring. It is our intention to remain Texas-based for the first year, at least.
'Texas Attitude,' as the band is called, will be making a formal announcement within the next couple of months. Their website will contain information about schedule and events, etc. and I expect I'll post links to that site here when it becomes avaiable. |

05 Feb 01 - 12:23 AM (#390163) Subject: RE: A Change in Direction From: Amos Jed, it's a fine thing to move ahead, and to unleash the past. And I am sure you're looking at a better class of income, at least steadier. So all things considered, it's a right choiuce as well as a bold adventure. Prosperity and delight be with you throughout! Regards A |

I hope it will become an important part of our sound - so substitutes won't be allowed! I've been encouraged to bring along Emily (my little reconfigured Backpacker) - but they haven't seen it yet. They may change their minds when they do! I will get some banjo and harmonica in too, it appears. |
