It was a about a boy who went to war, came back, saw his girl in a field, and he only had one leg when he came back. I can barely remember it. My mom use to sing it and "Please Mommy Please" all the time. I found "Please Mommy Please" but absolutely nothing on the other. I will just have to try and listen when she is up and singing it. She was singing snatches of it last night, but not loud enough or clear enough to understand. I will try to get a few of the phrases the next time she is coherent. |
