There already IS a remote for men, BTW. I saw it used at sheep farmers' workshop, ON A SHEEP (you sillies!) And this was a while back, but I am sure by now there is a wireless version.

But I don't think you'd like it.

Matt seems to have done quite a bit of straightening up since his Mbo days. As to flying right, he seems to have overcome his fear of flying, generally, but I am not sure he has acquired the wisdom to know flying right from flying left. Of course, this comment will earn me a theoretical flying left, but them's the breaks. Anyway, I would warrant he spends 20% of his time straightened up. And that is half the battle.

And no, Matt, this was the rectally-inserted electrical-charge prostate stimulator used to force violent erection and copious ejaculation in a matter of seconds, for the puirpose of collecting sperm to be frozen and shipped to breeders to artificially inseminate their ewes.

Ain't you GALD you asked???? The funnny thing is, this demo was right before lunch, and the ewe insemination was scheduled for after. Lunch was very poorly attended that day, with equal numbers of male and female farmers appearing to be absent. The ewe demo was very poorly attended as well!

I believe a vibrator version is available in sex shops. (Is that what an anal probe is? Ick.) Now settle down to hear this next part, please, everyone. A good friend of mine, a lady, was forced by her husband to wear one of those items up, um, ELSEWHERE, as she went about the house, made dinner, etc..... she threw him out shortly before confiding this to me, as it was merely one of the sick things her marriage had come to involve. We cleaned out the "toy" drawer together. She thought it was odd I didn't recognize some of the items-- "He said everyone uses them!" Uck.

These jokes from men here in this thread about wanting to control the remote... Really, I know you aren't like her husband, but geeze. Some people aren't kidding, in this world, you know?

Anyway I helped extract her from that one.

Love my MudPal Men though. You are an exceptional lot, and it is really fun to kid around with you on this stuff.

Thanks for being heroes, one by one. Us wimminfolk oughtta 'preciate you mo offen.

BACK TO THE FUN!

You realize that as long as this and the other orgasm and vibrator threads are alive I will not be able to visit the Mudcat at all while at work- it would be enuf to get me fired! So I'll visit a bit here and there in the evenings (when I can get a turn) and on weekends (ditto), but won't be seeing y'all much until the excitement here dies down. And this is the week my student teacher is taking over, and me with time to look busy but not leave the room--- rats!

it it were in MY power, I'd route threads like this to a place that is designed for them...(we already click a thing and go to another program to sing..etc..why not a place to be lewd, crude and stewed? *grin*)...yeah, I know, threads creep slowly sometimes, and it ain't always clear at what point it is too risque for general comfort, but as we see, it does get that way,,,kids looking for stuff for music projects shouldn't have to see threads on female orgasm...even light hearted ones..

anyone want to seriously pursue the idea?(suspecting that it will just seem like 'too much trouble' for many..)

I dunno; maybe kids who want to open the Pandora's box of humanware that folk music represents should take it in their stride that orgasms and accordions and concertinas and plectrums and other vibratory phenomena are part of the mix and if they can't take the heat, they can stick to the Disney version and watch mermaids singing plastic overlays of real music. Wouldn't want the lil darlings to get too stressed out by reality, now, would we? Might damage their little pink psyches, oh my....

Mommy, what's a plectrum? Well, why would someone want to put one up his ass? 'Cuz Catspaw said that's where Little Hawk should put his! What did he MEAN,. Mommy?

Amos, I really can't always tell just what you are agreeing with...*grin*....I really don't think we damage a lot of "little pink psyches" here, and I was NEVER one for real censorship...just wishing for a bit of taste regarding titles and such....

(last fall, I posted the following joke...it sort of obliquely makes my point)

....so this guy was walking down the street when he sees a store window full of clocks & watches. "Hey", he says, "I've been meaning to get my old pocket watch repaired"...so in he goes.

"Hello", he says to the elderly Jewish gentleman who greets him.."I'd like you to take a look at my watch...it hasn't been running right."

"I'm sorry, I don't do that here", the proprietor replies.

"You don't? What do you do?"

"I'm a Moile, I do ritual bris ceremonies...circumcisions."

"Well, why in the world do you have a window full of watches & clocks?"

"So...?", shrugs the old gentleman,"What SHOULD I put in the window?"

You mean "in cheek" don't you, Matt? :-)

Bill D - My feeling is that it's adults (young and old) who are interested in the subject of orgasms, and therefore, it's not gonna hurt any kids who log onto Mudcat.

It reminds me of the time my father tried (clumsily) to explain the "facts of life" to me. I was maybe 8 or 9 years old...and I didn't care. I basically had my mind on more interesting things at the time...like Davie Crockett or Robin Hood. So I listened politely, thought "Hmmm...that's certainly an odd story...", and then never gave it another thought till I was maybe 14 or something like that.

Subject: RE: BS: Female Orgasm Part II: Come Again?
From: Bill D

yep, LH..quite true...maybe it's just me who wishes things didn't get quite so...ummmm....graphic & explicit with little reason.. I find there are real uses for expletitives, graphic language and explicit jokes....and random, gratuitous deployment sort of dilutes the effect and numbs us to the time when it would have a effect!

I don't say F@*& every 5 minutes, so when I do, it MEANS something...and I'm convinced that 'some' ribald reparteā€š is NOT comfortable to a lot of casual browsers...and saying ,"hey, chill out, the world is just like that", doesn't address it very well.

I know...who is gonna draw the line and make rules? Max seldom does, and the JoeClones are VERY good at only messing with truly offensive, personal remarks. All I am doing here is inquiring about the mood for a bit of self-imposed restraint, and as I said, I somehow doubt it will work.

What would I do if it were MY place? Well, I think I'd require folks who feel the need to 'let it all hang out' create a thread labeled in some way like the BS threads...and to risk having it deleted if they don't...and for REAL raunchyness and explicit jokes..(which I DO indulge in sometimes), take it off site...to someplace like SOI (State of Insanity...a chat site where you can find 'almost' anything...and do it anonymously, too..) I'll look up the exact address later maybe....

*shrug*...am I making too much of this...?? maybe...

greetings

I don't have any problem with the sex - though I guess it could keep people for browsing while at work. If you can browse at all at work - consider yourself lucky. The last real job I had was at a county government historical museum. Our Internet access was tied through the county and their "protection" program disallowed about 75% the sites. Including most other museum websites because they were considered "entertainment." The local paper has one person who constantly checks the websites visited by all county employees. They have another person who checks through emails as well. And if you think we're talking about a small place - it's Orange Co., Florida (of Disney World fame) population around 700,000 with over 5,000 county employees.

I'm just glad there's no violence around here (at least serious stuff) I would rather have kids read the above material than see 90% of TV.

Subject: RE: BS: Female Orgasm Part II: Come Again?
From: wysiwyg

There's plenty of violence, Blackcatter. Stick around for a flamewar and you'll see the blood running. Communication can be violent. (See Marshall Roesenberg's work on same.)

There's a lot of violence talked about too. A bad thing will happen somewhere in the world and people will come here to find some respite from the awfulness of the event, and lots of us will say (in a thread) what they'd like to do to the bad guy. (Usually is it is a guy who did the bad thing, or at least the ones that get posted here usually are. Big guys or boys.) We've had near-rapes talked about, classroom killings, all sorts of things people need to talk about.

Then there are the threads about perennial old wounds, like the threads about Ireland. They often include descriptions of bad things that have happened, told with all the passion and punch of the bitterness these things engender.

Then there are the gun control threads. These, IMO, are a classic example of a thing truly worthy of discussion being hammered over and over, unfortunately, in a setting where resolution is not functionally possible just because the forum medium is not conducive to resolution.

Then there will be the requisite insensitive comment dropped into most any serious thread for the supposed purpose of lightening the grimmer parts up, and these usually just show up as static, but there will be the occasional flame skirmish chastising and defending the comment. I think I may have passed you in the hallway on one that got like that. Remember?)

Once in a great while, people just start these ridiculous threads that have nothing to do with music because for some reason they just really need to cut loose. It can be about anything, and some of us who have fairly overstressed lives will jump on it when we need to and play as outrageously as possible until everyone else is sick of us. And I hate to say it, but it seems to matter too often who is saying the sillier stuff; some people here are site icons for it. Other than that, everyone seems to have their own preferences for subject material to play with (or condemn), so it gets kinda tricky to keep everyone happy.

Ooops! I forgot! I'm supposed to be trying to quit thinking about that last one!

Back to class for me I guess.

Oh yeah, and really speak your mind on a touchy subject if you want to see some communication violence. You'll find a certain element here that just.. can't...STAND that.

I'm so sorry Matt dear. If you can't or won't observe the rules then you can't be allowed on the trip. It is not your hormones that are the problem but the need for you to be well aware of what happens to all of the "major" male characters. I would hate having to kill or maim you and you not to have been warned in advance that this would probably be your fate before the end of the trip. Perhaps you can find a slightly more male oriented ride to join such as "Boys On The Side". If I remember correctly there was only one male harmed, well actually killed, on that adventure.

When Vance Randolph was finally allowed to publish a book containing all the bits that had been censored out of his first fifteen or so books ("Pissing in the Snow", 1976), it was seen as an author finally overcoming censorship, etc. But I think it was Sandy Paton who pointed out that, while the stories were now available, they were no longer in the same context they'd have had if all the other books hadn't been censored. That put a different focus on how the stories would be looked at. Where before, they'd be one (probably minor) joke among many, now they were the main focus. I see it as being rather like putting a spoonful of vanilla extract in a cake batter, or drinking it neat. That's the problem I have with Bill's thought that there should be another place to go for discussions with a "thread of blue" through them. If the purpose of the 'Cat were to help kids with music projects, that would be a different matter, but it's not. BTW #1) I learned the "watch joke" from my father. BTW #2) Sometimes bawdry depends on context. I've heard "Rock of Ages" sung without changes in either lyrics or melody, but loaded with double entendre. This can make decisions about where to draw the line even more difficult.

I agree with Blackcatter in saying that this kind of discussion about sex is much less dangerous than the violence on TV. Also, a lot of kids know about things of a sexual nature - it's a fact of life (if you'll pardon the pun), although it'd be nicer to think they know the theory rather than the practical side. And isn't it better for them if we're discussing something as nice as a female orgasm? I mean, it's a caring side of the whole business. It's not just titillation for for blokes like a lot of the stuff that's portrayed on this WWW and other media. There's a BS filter for anyone who thinks we're not making sweet music. Besides, as has been mentioned before, there's bawdy lyrics a-plenty in the DT, television and film is rife with worse, and the Bible has a bloody awful attitude to it. My vote is for the gentle (and occasionally not-so-gentle), good-humoured banter written in threads like these.

Subject: RE: BS: Female Orgasm Part II: Come Again?
From: Bill D

yep, Hollowfox, I see your point very well....the problem is, Vance Randolph's books were being 'censored'...that is, NOT allowed to be published in his preferred form so that they were available to to those who wanted them. If they had simply published the book, and noted on the cover "some slightly 'R' rated content", then folks could decide to read it or not-and more important, Randolph was the ONLY author, and his books were not being randomly altered in progress....but here, you can be skimming down a serious thread and suddenly be awash in gratuitous scatological references, abusive diatribes and personal metaphysical and emotional tides.

In 'real life'...at a party or festival, you can just step out of range, or go to another room....and...let's see if I can say this right....in 'real life', a comment is 'gone' once made, and if someone starts to TELL you about it, you can stop them...here, the silliness, anger, profanities and insensitive thread creeps remain...right in your face, unless they SO depart from accepted policy that they are deleted by a JoeClone elf.

Now I don't LIKE censorship, as such. But there are jokes and songs I don't do in certain situations. (You want me to tell the joke about the Arab with the large left nostril to your Mother?)....but is YOU want to hear it, I'll tell YOU, in the back room where Mom wont hear....even if she sort of knows we are telling off-color jokes in the back room.(I know one song, written by friends of mine, that I think is quite funny...but it has something in it to offend everyone, and I will NOT post it in open forum!!)...but I am sure there are those who would!

I simply wish the Mudcat HAD a back room..I'd be there sometimes...but out here, I'd like my mother to feel welcome.

Agreed Susan/ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsPraise/WYSIWYG!

Let's face it, there's something pretty comical about 2 (or more...or less) people (or animals...) fumbling around in the dark, trying to join body parts and create a bit of friction in a rather inelegant and ludicrous manner that bears little or no resemblance to a Mills and Boon novel but ultimately makes you feel quite good if things work out.

Anyway, just as long as they're not posting to Mudcat threads at the same time, because the spelling tends to go a bit and the grammar gets confused.

Look. No one else wants to discuss it but there IS a Mudcat back room. I've heard about some of what goes on in there. The mattresses have rubber sheets due to the rate in coming and going.

This stuff is just good-natured ribaldry.

Bill, don't assume that just because this thread won't die or clean itself up, people have not heard you. The awful truth of the Mudcat is that even when people are telling you that you're full of shit, they are listening more than half the time, and it makes for some changes over time. I mean, I didn't start this thread, so I can't control the title of it, but if I DID start one on an "Adult" topic, from now on, I would probaly give some thought to poor Bill's poor Ma. And I'd set it off as adult in theme with all my best copy-writing skills.

So don't go away mad that no one heard you. I bet I'm not the only one. People just get defensive, but it doesn't mean they aren't hearing you.

Right guys?

Speaking of female orgasms--and many other things, this morning--something I saw in this mornings paper comes to mind: Big front page headlines about the genome projects, the mapping of human DNA...

Male contribution to human DNA was dismissed as "Male DNA: Tiny ,cowering, and full of junk".

Well, maybe...but as a man, that doesn't bother me. It simply means that 99.9 % of me is female!

...So now, I certainly MUST participate in any discussion of female orgasms.... ;))

I like when we talk about all the stuff. I never knew no folkies nohow that didn't have orgasms in there minds someway ornother. Folk music is the sexiest music after all. It's got all the curves and the drive and the rhythm and the romance. Old time dancing is about sweaty bodies to begin with so, there ya go. Whats next? You figure it out.

In my opinion, any kids who get they're education here either have no parents to talk to about anything or have smart ones who sent them. I any case, they are learning from the smartest, coolest, most literate and clever, not to mention humble people in the world. Once again my hats off to the inventors of this place.

Susan,

We have to wait a bit for that cruise in Elvira. She is covered with about 6" of snow at the moment and I don't even want to go out of the house to clean her off (but I will). Must be warm enough to keep the top down all day before we start or no one will know we are Thelma and Louise!
