Trimdon Grange Mining Disaster

I just inherited a really neat old wine glass commemorating the Trimdon Grange Mining Disaster of1882, sold at the time to raise money for the families of the dead. It is inscribed "Trimdon Grange Explosion 16 Feby 1882 71 lives lost". - I know there's a song about the event, I heard it at Hartlepool Folksong Club in " The Nursery" about a million years ago - anyone Know the lyrics ?

Just thought I'd mention the Carthy guitar tuning for "Trimdon Grange" - A A A A A E ! That's what I call a strange one!

There's a very useful search facility on the main Forum page, which you may perhaps have seen: the Digitrad and Forum Search.  If you were to enter something like trimdon grange into it, you would get some interesting and useful results.
