12 Feb 01 - 03:39 PM (#396556) Subject: Trimdon Grange Mining Disaster From: GUEST,Mike Potts now in Fredericksburg TX I just inherited a really neat old wine glass commemorating the Trimdon Grange Mining Disaster of1882, sold at the time to raise money for the families of the dead. It is inscribed "Trimdon Grange Explosion 16 Feby 1882 71 lives lost". - I know there's a song about the event, I heard it at Hartlepool Folksong Club in " The Nursery" about a million years ago - anyone Know the lyrics ? |
