13 Feb 01 - 07:52 AM (#396954) Subject: CatConcert 14: MMario From: bigchuck This week's edition of the Mudcat Concert series will feature MMario. Valentine's Day Theme? Who knows. Tune in and find out. As ever, the concert will commence on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 8:00PM. Navigate to the Mudcat Concert Room on PalTalk and enter the password, which is marmot. |
13 Feb 01 - 08:40 AM (#396972) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario "Variations on Love" is the theme. That gives me a LOT of leeway. |
13 Feb 01 - 09:54 AM (#397008) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Kim C Do these get archived anywhere? Because I can't be there and I'd really like to hear it. :) |
13 Feb 01 - 06:32 PM (#397437) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Katcina I will be there for sure. Kim, I wish I knew how to record them because I would save our concerts. We have some fantastic musicians and MMario is one of them. Maybe one of the other who will be there knows how and can record it for you to hear later. |

14 Feb 01 - 08:35 AM (#397796) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: SINSULL I'll be there carrying an antique tortoise shell fan trimmed with orange feathers - really! It's painfully romantic. Good luck, MMario. |
14 Feb 01 - 10:04 AM (#397843) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Kim C MMario, will YOU be taping it?!? |
14 Feb 01 - 04:10 PM (#398085) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario I don't have the means to tape it. However anyone else who want to try is welcome!

15 Feb 01 - 08:52 AM (#398476) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario *chortle* Joe - it does say Thursday in the very first post. kim - my tape recorder (I don't own a boombox) is "missing" - I put it down in my car sometime during the summer and haven't found it since. |
15 Feb 01 - 09:56 AM (#398527) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Kim C well, SHOOT. :( If I had a computer AT HOME it would solve all my worldly problems... |
15 Feb 01 - 12:07 PM (#398622) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Noreen Any chance of a matinee performance/rehearsal for geographically challenged mudcatters? I'll probably be here for the main event too, wearing... a lovelorn expression. Noreen |
15 Feb 01 - 12:24 PM (#398637) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario I won't make it home much before 1 am UK time, sorry! |

15 Feb 01 - 12:49 PM (#398664) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario I don't often get the chance on paltalk - combination of sleeping relatives, tv shows and computer location. |
15 Feb 01 - 01:12 PM (#398682) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Kim C If some brilliant person could come up with a way to archive these, like the radio broadcasts, that would be Way Cool. |
15 Feb 01 - 02:33 PM (#398745) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Mrs.Duck It is possible to route the sound from your computer directly ino a tape recorder with a lead connected instead of speakers. Using the recorders own speakers or headphones you can listen at the same time. So {if like for me) the concert is in the middle of the night you could put it through headphones so as not to wake yourself or the neighbours and record. |
15 Feb 01 - 02:48 PM (#398764) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Mary in Kentucky I'll be there, still in the mood for Valentine's Day. Are you giving away day old chocolate MMario? |

15 Feb 01 - 05:39 PM (#398889) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Katcina I truely wish these were archived so that we could pull them up and listen whenever we wished. I also wish I knew a lot more about computers and recording equipment because then I wouldn't be worring about archives. As it is I will simply have to be content with hearing them once and remembering them in my mind. MMario, I have had the pleasure of hearing you sing and you have absolutely nothing to be nervous about. I hope to see everyone there tonight.

16 Feb 01 - 09:19 AM (#399329) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario y'know the real pleasure of doing a concert for 'catters? The compliments just keep on coming... Thanks everyone. I would like to point out that most of my material came either from the DT or the forum. In particular ~ The Mother's Kiss - by Don Meixner; The Fause Mermaid - by Bradypus; The unicorn song is available in the "St. Patrick's Day at the Mudcat Tavern" thread. Joe made me post the additional lyrics to Mist Covered Mountains (my arm is still hurting from the twisting) and I believe most of the other songs are availabe through this site. |

16 Feb 01 - 10:14 AM (#399358) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: SINSULL After a grueling day at the office, I closed my eyes for five minutes and woke up at 6AM. I am sorry MMario. I was looking forward to your solo performance. Now me and my fan are wilted. (Grammar police - stay clear! you don't want to mess with me today) Next time. Mary |

16 Feb 01 - 10:43 AM (#399377) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Inukshuk Just let me say, pal, that you will be an extremely hard act to follow. I truly admire the competence and expertise of the performance you delivered last night. I'll work on my material, but it's seriously low brow compared to your stuff. Thank you for the lesson. |
16 Feb 01 - 10:53 AM (#399385) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: MMario You can get more lowbrow then "Peacock Envy"; "Virtue"; and "the Sheep Song?" I've heard you. any worries you have are purely fictional! Self-delusional! |
16 Feb 01 - 11:26 AM (#399403) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: SINSULL Long weekend and plan to spend some of it at Annamill's. This too shall pass. Thanks for asking MMario. |
16 Feb 01 - 01:12 PM (#399518) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Night Owl I'm soooo upset I missed your concert, Mario!! 16 Feb 01 - 01:44 PM (#399544) Subject: RE: CatConcert 14: MMario From: Pondering It All What a wonderful idea Night Owl. I hope it will be taken into serious consideration by the powers that be. I attend the concerts but would certainly buy copies if they were made available. |
