From: MARINER I've just heard from a friend that one of the old Sun recording artists of the 50s, Malcolm Yelvington has passed away after a long battle with cancer. He wasn't a big star, but cut some fairly good stuff and I thought that any old Rockers out there might like to pause for a moment and think of him. It's sad to here of these guys passing. To borrow an expression from Dylan,in my mind they're "forever young" |

Anyone interested in sending sympathy cards or messages of condolence can send them to his widow, Mrs Luella Yelvington, 1105 Creston AVE.Memphis TN.38127. Just a thought. Sleepy La Beef the "Rockabilly Heavyweight" can sure kick butt. He has to be one of the most powerful singers in the business. |
