Teh book is called "Stories Told in the Kitchen", North Country Press, 1981. Books in Print's website says it's still in print, so those poor souls among you that don't have a copy can chase those Febblueberry blues by using the Mudcat link to Amazon.com and scarfing up a copy. |

If you have a chance to see it, pay close attention to the "French" gentleman and Kendall's reaction. In other episodes, the Captain sits with a deadpan expression and lets his guest go and on with the most outrageous stories. No reaction - a Maine humor thing. But poor Kendall smiles and then cracks up completely at the the French man's antics about a flat rubber tire. Out-curmudgeoned! Wonderful stuff. |

They carried it for almost 20 years which is unheard of for a book. You might also try L.L.Bean in Freeport Maine.If all else fails, let me know and I'll scare one up for you! |
