From: toadette My dad used to sing us a song about a COWBOY.....out on the range.....who got a letter from home...and the cowboy's name was JACK.....part of the lyrics were: "It's only a message from home sweet home...from loved ones back on the farm....from father and mother, from sister and brother....praying to guide me from harm..." We worked several shows with the Stoneman Family not long after Pop died, and picked up the words from them. In their version, the tune is taken straight from "Home Sweet Home."
