i am trying to date a pete seeger concert at "the lesser free trade hall" manchester england--maybe 1963. someone i know was there and actually has a disc of part of the concert.i want to put it on cd but as some of the songs are african completing the track listing isnt going to be easy. anyone there or can help in any way?

For what it's worth, Pete did a recording on Folkways Records in 1955 called Bantu Choral Folk Songs. I've heard that you can get all the old Folkways records through the Smithsonian, but I haven't tried it. He also did a book by the same title for Schirmer Pub. in 1959, which might help with spelling, etc. Those songs are a treat. I pulled this from the Pete Seeger appreciation page, but I forgot to copy down the addy - sorry - it was the first site listed on Google. Perhaps e-mailing that site could get you what you need.
