hb (Lucymay?) I've just played my copy, but can't get all the words for songbird; There have been several mentions of Eva Cassidy on recent threads, so you may find some help there; can't remember the thread titles, but I think one was about her version of Fields of Gold

hb.There is a site http://crosstownarts.com/CrosstownArts/client/_music/eva/evahome.html where I think you'll find the Songbird album

hi hb I love that songbird song, both by Eva & by F'wood Mac. Here is a link to a site which gives the lyrics & chords:
link to Fleetwood Mac lyrics & chords
You need to scroll down to find the right song - or you can use your browser's 'find in page' option (from the edit dropdown in netscape & MS Explorer) & search for the word 'songbird'

The more I hear her style and vocalizing the more she has ownership of the music regardless of who else may have performed the song. I try to sing along with her recordings but her improvisation isn't easy to mimic. So unique was she, I feel. What a clear and compelling voice. Sad that she died so young.
