'Scuse me, I thought I heard something going on here. Didn't mean to eavesdrop, though. I do have one question however. What's a snug room? Do you just sit around and get all warm and comfy, or can you pick & sing? Well, I'm feeling a little parched. Think I'll go look for a beer.

Snug was a part of a pub where ladies could sit, a sort of parlour but with a serving hatch, bar or jug service. It should be a place where you can just sit back and relax and not feel obliged to sing, just chatter if you want.

LtS, Ah, then this must be a sort of British thing, right? I'll be moving on and leave the ladies to their snug room then, he says wondering where the beer is.

Jim, before you leave the ladies, you have to find them first.....

There are refreshments available in the snug, a more "personal" service shall we say....

Most people would liken it to an hotel lounge now, or a lounge bar.
