07 Mar 01 - 10:27 PM (#413116) Subject: RE: Help: Five String Acoustic Base From: Jeremiah McCaw On an acoustic bass guitar, the 5th string is usually a high 'C' (above the 'G' string) rather than a low 'B' string, such as an electric bass would have. That's because it's very difficult to build an acoustic instrument to handle the tension of the low 'B'. There's probably others, but Martin has the only 5-string acoustic I've seen. |
