Irish Ballads, Songs of the Sea for UK

For those of us in the UK who have been deprived of the recorded talents of Dan Milner, help has arrived.
In an earlier thread I asked Dan if he had a UK outlet for his CD's. His swift reply enabled me to buy a copy from the US (in UK currency)inside 14 days and much cheaper than the current prices for CD's in the UK.

If like me you have never heard Dan before are you in for a treat. I can endorse everything written about his performance on earlier threads. The man has a voice to be envied and the arrangements and musicianship are in the same category.
Thanks Dan for a CD that will bring Mrs. K John and myself many hours of pleasure.
Regards KJ

And KJ, may I suggest an additional purchase? If you can get your hands on a copy of Dan's book, co-written with Paul Kaplan, it would be a wonderful addition for you. The book is titled "Songs of England, Ireland, & Scotland" subtitled "A Bonnie Bunch of Roses". This is a wonderful collection of 150 traditional songs replete with comments and notes on each song. It has become a full fledged member of the Dog Eared Books Brigade in my reference library.

All the best,

Big Mick

Mick
Yes I agree I've had this book for some time and didn't connect the two until I emailed Dan the other day. My copy like yours is well dogeared. It's a crying shame we can only get Dan's book over the counter and not his records!
regards KJ

You'll LOVE THIS CD, folks! I think you'll find it one of the finer recordings of its kind out there. Buy it and cherish it.
