28 Mar 01 - 12:51 PM (#427674) Subject: RE: Folk Festival in San Francisco From: GUEST,Bedridden Barry on Sis's laptop This is great radriano, the family & I were planning on this week or the following depending on the music scene there. I guess that about wraps it up as far as when we'll be out there. Thanks, & I was just asking about this in another thread. When will Chanteyranger's sea shanty session happen around all this. We'll probably fly out the Monday, June 11, just after Mystic & then fly out to Maui the next Monday could you update me on any other folk music, sessions, music at Faith's, etc. that might be of interest. I should be well recovered by then. A very excited Barry

28 Mar 01 - 04:51 PM (#427862) Subject: RE: Folk Festival in San Francisco From: Melani Wait a minute. If the Festival is June 16-17, I think you must meant that the chantey workshop will be Sunday, June 17. By the way, who do I have to bribe to get them to do it the third weekend every year? This is the first time in something like four years that I'll be able to make it, since I"m always out of town the first, second and fourth weekends in June. Now my June schedule is complete! |

28 Mar 01 - 06:18 PM (#427940) Subject: RE: Folk Festival in San Francisco From: radriano Barry, please note that the festival is June 16 and 17. The workshops are not finalized for this year yet. I believe our workshops will be on Sunday but keep checking the website for more accurate infomation. Chanteyranger's monthly shanty sing at the Hyde Street Pier is held on the first Saturday of each month so it should be on June 2nd. I'm really looking forward to seeing you again, Barry, so I hope that you can make it out this way. Meetings of the San Francisco Folk Music Club at Faith's house are every other Friday so in June the Club will meet June 1st, June 15th, and June 29th. I'll let you know about anything else as I find out about things. Barry, if you do come in to SF, please let me know if you need to be picked up at the airport. My car is actually pretty small but I might be able to borrow my ex's van for the occasion. Richard |

The chantey sing is on the 1st saturday of the month, so we will unfortunately miss you there, but there's the session with Shay Black at the Starry Plough in Berkeley every sunday night, and we'll have to get some 'catters together for a singing session at my place when you're in, if that would work with your schedule. -chanteyranger |

When I do nail sometime down I'll post it up on a differen thread. So goes the saying "we make plans & the Gods laugh". Hi Richard & thanks for the offer of an airport pickup. When we do finally get the we'll probably meet up with one of my wife's sisters & then grab a rental so we can do some touring. Thanks foe some of the music info above hopefully that'll help some. A not so excited. Barry |
