Hi! Could you share more information about your group and the songs you sing? I'm not familar with the WindLasses, although I've read that they have something to do with more easily weighing anchor.

Hi Steph,

Great to hear you're working on a solo album. I hope that you and Donna and Daph continue to sing together whenever you get the chance, 'cause you sound soooo good together. All the best to your mom and Rick in their new adventures. Come back to see us soon.

Best,

Dave & Pam

Hey! I saw heard your Mom and Rick last tuesday in Essex. What a wonderful night that was. I was the lass that sang Dreadful Ghost and Topman and the Afterguard.

I hope to meet up with you again and good luck on the album.

Greetings, Steph -

Hope you can join the Mudcat. Membership is free and it's easy to register. For Roll & Go and anyone else curious about this group, The Windlasses have been a mother and daughters trio who sing wonderfully - primarily traditional and modern sea songs, though not exclusively. They rocked Mystic in '99 at their debut, performed last Winter in San Francisco, and have recently branched out in different directions and geographic areas, so who knows when they'll sing together as a trio again. Maybe on occasion, as I understand it, but whatever paths they take in their post-Windlasses incarnations, the music's going to be beautiful.

I just had the pleasure of driving Stephanie Glover and Alison Kelley (she of The NextTradition and of the Johnson Girls) home through a pounding Brooklyn rainstorm. What else could I do but keep my eyes on the road, shut up, and listen to them harmonize? Was I in Heaven or what?
