Rediculous! The years went by, and time's now left us; Your face is lined, and your hair is gray; But I'll tell you again, how much I love you, With this simple song, in the same old way. Thanks, Bill Staines, for the original song. |

See, my sister has been joking with her friends for years about the time when they all wind up together in a "home" with blue-dyed hair.... how they will be just the same as they are now, only finally looking as crotchety as they have always been... and if I rearrange a couple of those lines accidetnally, the blue hair is a possible rhyme... Hate to get mixed up, or let Hardi have his way with that line! Worse, he'd probably add a funeral verse. Maybe I better, before he does.

Or, from a wife
Next-to-last, before last refrain Finish with refrain Yes we danced all night to the fiddle and the banjo... Charlie, now we'll need that verse about raising the kids... ~Susan |

Steve had been subjected to an unmerciful barrage of banjo jokes for a good while leading up to it and she pushed him over the edge. I thought it was the highlight of her set ;-) Rich |
