08 Apr 01 - 01:13 AM (#435609) Subject: BS:Thought for the day From: GUEST,#1 The former trivia thread of this of this title seems to have petered out. Don't think too hard about anything today. Just get lots of rest, eat nutricious meals, and have some good sex, so we can start out with a bang on Monday. |

"Oh pilgrims, you who go lost in your dreams, Not paying attention, perhaps bound by desire, By the corruption of wealth, by the corruption of speech, By disdain of the possibilities: Are you so far from your humanity that you cannot even weep At the ruins of the world you wanted to build? And have you become deaf to the whispers Of what could have been, in your life, in your world?" (after Dante, 56). yours, Peter T. |

08 Apr 01 - 11:17 AM (#435749) Subject: RE: BS:Thought for the day From: wysiwyg Peter, that's excellent. Now how about a post in the old TftD style? I miss them. Say, Peter, are you coming to our Adirondack Camp Gathering if it goes forward, in August? (See Help: Lake Champlain thread.) I'd be very interested in your thoughts about what the family has done over the years to restore its natural plant life as a nearby mine has been there co-existing. In fact, if you were going to be in that area (Lewis NY) at all over the summer, even if Hardi and I are not there when you are, you should stop in and meet Francy and see the property-- 55 acres of heaven. And stay for a good rest if you can. ~Susan |

08 Apr 01 - 11:35 AM (#435761) Subject: RE: BS:Thought for the day From: Peter T. I will check out the thread, WYSIWYG. Sounds interesting. I used to have a colleague who did lots of work on mine reclamation. Life has been too complicated for me to contribute Thoughts for the Day as I used to. Maybe someday. yours, Peter T. |

08 Apr 01 - 05:26 PM (#435922) Subject: RE: BS:Thought for the day From: Liz the Squeak Hmmm. Not allowed to eat as I have an operation tomorrow, haven't been getting much rest, because I'm stressed out. That just leaves the good sex...... OK, that's me bummed out, can I just think about pretty flowers and little lambs instead? Or why people get out of outdoor swimming pools when it rains? Or if I turned the gas off..... The only bang I'm gonna get on Monday is if the anaesthetist gets it wrong! LTS |

09 Apr 01 - 08:39 PM (#436947) Subject: RE: BS:Thought for the day From: GUEST,#1 Had today's post figured out a little over 12 hours ago, but thought I'd wait and see if anyone was desperate for their daily 'think fix'. It looks like nobody needs any help to do their thinking, or (judging by most of today's posts) non-thinking, so I'll just hang onto it until the need arises, hopefully never. |
