Does anyone have sheet music or chords for "Old Church Bell" by Monroe Gevedon. It was recorded by the Grace Family, among others I'm sure. I have the lyrics. Thanks

Could we have some (distinctive) lyrics which might help us locate the tune?

The Lester S. Levy Collection of Sheet Music has two by that title, but neither by Gevedon. MMario

THE OLD CHURCH BELL by D.M. Grohe (1864) - Should take you to the first page of the music, with clickies to the rest.

THE OLD CHURCH BELL by James W. Long (1865).

Lyrics?. Sure

Oh, those sunny Sabbath mornings when the soft winds blow
Bring to me the recollections of the days of long ago
When the dear old friends and neighbors from the valley, hill and dell
Come to gather at the ringing of the Old Church Bell

Chorus:

Now the Old Church Bell is broken
Pieces lie there still
And no more the old friends gather
At the church house on the hill
They have crossed the chilly river
In that glory land to dwell
and no more we hear the music of the Old Church Bell

Hint, sort of. When I try to remember this, I keep getting the tune from "Long, Black Veil" but that's not right.
