Daughter getting married - Chord help?

Hi Catters: My oldest daughter will get married in June. (!)
I thought it might be nice to do the Paul Stooky "Wedding Song" somewhere during the ceremony, so I got the lyrics from the digitrad and previous threads, and the chords from another site.
Problem is, I don't trust the chords I have for the tune, it just does not sound right.
So - ask the Catters. Have any of you covered this tune the way Stooky does it, and if so, would you please post a few lyrics with your chord progressions and any tips you may have.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mark

Mark,I do this song a lot. I've got the sheet music around here somewhere that I learned it from, and if I can find it I will try to get it to you.

I changed the key because it was too difficult to do barre chords on my 12-string and my fingerpicking rhythm is a litle different fom Paul Stookey's, but everyone that has heard me do it has liked it.

I don't know if I'm html literate enough to post the chords and lyrics together, but give me a couple of days of playing it again and I will try it.

bEST TO PUT IT IN THE THREAD, FOR ALL TO SEE.

The Wedding Song - Paul Stookey

He is [G]now to be a-[D]mong you at the [C]calling of your [G]hearts.
[Em]Rest assured this [G]troubadour is [D]acting on His part.
The [G]union of your [D]spirits here has [C]caused Him to re-[G]main,
For when-[Em]ever two or [G]more of you are [D]gathered in His name,

There is [C]love, there is [G]love.

Well, a man shall leave his mother and a woman leave her home.
They shall travel on to where the two shall be as one.
As it was in the beginning, is now and till the end.
Woman draws her life from man and gives it back again.

And there is love, there is love.

Then, [C]what's to be the [Am]reason for be-[D]coming man and [G]wife?
Is it [C]love that brings you [Am]here or [D]love that gives you [G]life?
For if [G]loving is the [D]answer, then [C]who's the giving [G]for?
Do [Em]you believe in [G]something that you've [D]never seen before?

    Well, there's [C]love, there is [G]love.

The marriage of your spirits here has caused Him to remain,
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name,

There is love, there is love.
