Anita Kermode has copiled over 120 alt. tunings for banjo, and has many suggested songs and a few chord forms to go along with them. http://zeppmusic.com/banjo/aktuning.htm The "mountain minor" or "sawmill," two or three "dead man" tunings, and all manner of modal stuff is there. Such a labor of love. CC |

One of the obstacles to using new funny tunings was always not actually having any tunes to play in them. This seems to make suggestions of where the tuning can be used. I will research the site more when I have time! Quacking and Frailing Geoff the Duck |
