Please can anyone help. My Uncle has been a keen folk singer in the UK for many years. Recently he has been trying without much success to find the lyrics for a folk song called "Miss Tickle Toby". He has asked me to have a search on the internet to see if I can find them I have had a good search and the only references that I can find are that it has been recorded by Gary & Vera Aspey. Have any of you heard of the song, and do you know if the words are available or still under copyright. Thanks for your time. Regards

Ye Gods, haven't heard THAT in years either. Manitas has a vinyl somewhere, will go see if it's on that later.....

Thanks for your response to my thread. Have tried emailing Gary and Vera twice using the address from that site but so far have not received a reply.

Thanks also for your response, If you do have a copy on vinyl that's great. Would it be possible for you to note the words for me ? If not could you record it as an MP3 or similar and i'll listen to it and type the words.

They are probably quite busy; one email ought to suffice for the time being.  If you don't get a reply in a few weeks, by all means try again,but don't push it: they probably (like most of us) have things to do involving making a living, and may not have a lot of time to devote to enquiries. Do let us know if you find what you're looking for.
