25 Apr 01 - 11:20 PM (#449566) Subject: Any music in Denver this weekend? From: Mark Cohen I'll be visiting my 6-year-old daughter in Colorado this weekend; we'll be in Boulder Thursday and Friday, and in Denver from Friday night to Sunday morning. Anybody know any good kid-friendly music gatherings or concerts? (Not necessarily kids' music--Shayna loves good music of any kind!) Send me a personal message or email. Thanks! Note from the Synchronicity Department: last month I went to Shayna's friend's soccer game in Denver, and the referee turned out to be Larry Edelman, one of the greatest contra and square dance callers in the known universe, who is an old friend of an old friend of mine. The last time I saw Larry was at Fiddle Tunes in Port Townsend, Washington in 1990; he was living in Baltimore then. Very small world! Aloha, Mark |

26 Apr 01 - 12:17 PM (#449883) Subject: RE: Any music in Denver this weekend? From: Rex My friends Bing and Suzie (aka South Wind)(http://bings.net/southwind) will be playing at the White Fence Farm (http://whitefencefarm.com/denver/index.htm)in south Denver on the 28th and the 29th. They do a fine old-time show with fiddle and banjo just made for kids. And the White Fence Farm is a pretty keen place for kids with good eats and plenty of critters around the place. I take my kids there. If you see Bing and Suzie, tell 'em Rex says howdy. Rex |
