27 Apr 01 - 06:38 AM (#450381) Subject: RE: BS: Gathering at the Moor and Coast Festival From: Les from Hull Maggie and I will be there on Saturday and Sunday. We were suggesting that Mudcatters could set up an informal meet. How about it, Tyke? Could we agree a day, a time and a pub? Or should we just all turn up at the Endeavour and heckle you? Les |

27 Apr 01 - 09:00 PM (#450802) Subject: RE: BS: Gathering at the Moor and Coast Festival From: Tyke Hi Les and Maggie, As you know I have been shanghaied by Coblers Monday so I should be were they are booked in to perform at The Moor and Coast. I do not know the details as yet but I will post them as soon as possible. From what I can gather the Moor and Coast will be using the Tap and Spill, Endeavour and the Plough on Baxtergate this year. I think the music sessions will be in the Plough. However Coblers Monday have asked to do some concert spots at Whitby Community College. If all is going to plan the Moor and Coast will be running the bar at the Community College. The campsite is I believe in the grounds of the College! I hopefully will be in Whitby from Friday to Tuesday. It would be great for us to get it together for a session I will PM you my Mobile Number and once I find out just what Coblers Monday's commitments are I will leave word at the Tap and Spile.Maybe we should put out some flyers so Other Mudcater's Can meet up as well. What are the rules for singing on the campsite in the early hours should we be allowed out of the pub's at some point? |

29 Apr 01 - 07:01 AM (#451495) Subject: RE: BS: Gathering at the Moor and Coast Festival From: Mrs.Duck George the food tent is where the after hours singing and playing takes place quite often until the wee small hours. It is set away from the main tent area so that the noise isn't too dirruptive. There is always an excellent atmosphere in there. Not sure if they have horse on the menu this year but you never know. :-) |

30 Apr 01 - 03:00 PM (#452298) Subject: RE: BS: Gathering at the Moor and Coast Festival From: Linda Kelly We're setting off Friday after lunch, as it will take me most of the morning to compose myself after having put the dog into kennels (dog loves it -I'm a complete wreck!). First major outing in the VW campervan - so if anyone passes an orange and white Devon on the Pickering Whitby road - please give us a tow! |

30 Apr 01 - 04:00 PM (#452330) Subject: RE: BS: Gathering at the Moor and Coast Festival From: Tyke You'll love your VW Camper! I'm still missing the use of my 1972 T2 VW Camper. Since the White Van driver ran into the back of me whilst stationary pushing me into the car in front. Still I may spend my whiplash injury compensation resurrecting it. When I get it as it was now over two years ago. I've been to Whitby in it a few times you may remember it California Dreaming and get on the lip and rip on the side in Bright Yellow. The last time it went to Whitby Folk Week it ended up in the following years programme with Sid Kipper posing for a photograph in front of it. I suppose it was one of the few tasteful things in Whitby that would go with his Kipper Tie.:-) As for Dogs the two Boarder Collies (Josh and Billy) slept in the front. We Spent the Night in the National Parks Car Park on the Middlesborough Road. First thing in the Mornings drove to Sandsend with someone still in bed asleep. Then I made Breakfasts whilst the Dogs had the time of there lives on the beach with Barbara. Happy Day's |
