'the sun's gonna shine in my back door someday'

This is a musical nostalgia thread, of a sort.

We all know that folk and blues music tend to swap around lyrics, whole verses, scraps of lines, and so forth. A line or a verse in one song might end up, slightly modified, in a quite different song.

So, just for fun, how many songs can we name that have contain some variant of the line:

the sun's gonna shine in my back door

.
.

I'll start us off with:

Happy Good Morning Blues
Bruce Cockburn
from his 1971 LP "High Winds White Sky"

Good day to you
fat balloon man
may you always have air
you sing a song everybody can believe

Good day to you
uncle tom cat
out to trick the whole world
you carry a tune for nobody but yourself

Bonjour a toi
herr policeman
may your boots always fit
someday you'll find a song you can believe

Good morning good people
the sun is long sailing
the only clouds you see
are carried within

soon they'll be blown all away
wind's gonna rise and blow those clouds away
wind's gonna rise and blow your blues away
your sun's gonna shine in my back door some day ...

Um...how about NONE? Though it does sound like a good lyric for nudists...

Okay, look, this isn't hard, people. I found this one in the DT just by searching for "sun shine back door":

THAT'S WHY I'M WALKIN'

My boss-man was so mean, I works just like a slave
16 long hours drive you to your grave
That's why I'm walkin, walkin my blues away
You know the sun gonna shine in my back door some day.

I once had a car, it were painted white and black
Couldn't keep up the payments, the man he took it back,
That's why I'm walkin, walkin my blues away (hey, hey, hey)
You know the sun gonna shine in my back door some day.

I wouldn't tell a mule to off if he sat down in my lap
Ain't that the same thing killed my old gran-pap?
That's why I'm walkin, walkin my blues away
You know the sun gonna shine in my back door some day.

Performed by Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee
(Fantasy Records: ""Goin Back to New Orleans"" 2-record set)

In 1959 Ray Charles recorded the real "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cryin'." I can't locate lyrics anywhere but they contain the subject phrase.

James Taylor snitches the line to tag on his "Circle Around the Sun" on his Apple record.

...I know that sunshine, sunshine
Gonna shine on my backdoor someday
Wind is gonna come
And blow, blow all these blues away...
