29 Apr 01 - 06:48 PM (#451745) Subject: You've Gotta Talk my Language... From: 2feathers Immediate help if possible. We are in jam/BS session with Ghanian drummer, Kafe (Coffee?), and in conversation about his work with children he speaks of children who don't know what love is...I recall a song, sang one line of it, but can't put my finger on whose song it is. I HAVE THIS SONG ON A RECORDING BUT CAN'T REMEMBER WHOSE RECORDING. IT'S IN THE HOUSE. Please help me by giving me the name of the singer/songwriter so I can get it out and play it for Kafe. Fast--he has to leave shortly to visit Olatunji(Sp?) in the hospital. |

Ed Trickett recorded it on his first solo album: The Telling Takes Me Home, Folk-Legacy #46. It's not available on CD as yet, although we hope to get it there soon. Right now, we only have it as a cassette. Good though! Sandy |
