Hi there all -- just starting this new thread with a connection (I hope) to the old thread) to identify WHERE the weekend will be held! We do have a few spaces left -- if interested, call Millicent Browne at 718-491-4046. We'd love to have some more 'catters there - and we could call it a pre-old songs get together. There will be great performers and some dancing -- and lots of jamming into the wee hours. The surroundings are beautiful and you can take walks, go swimming or boating - or if you are energetic, play tennis! Oh, and did I say there was MUSIC? LOTS? of all kinds!!! With lots of space to find a place to play, sing, listen and enjoy! 2 to a room. Bring a friend or make new ones!

here's the old thread: Click here

Come to hear Geoff Kaufman at Wunsch Hall Student Center, Polytechnic University, in Brooklyn, NY, tomorrow evening, Friday, 5/4/01, at 8 PM. Join New York Pinewoods Folk Music Club. Get in for $1 off the regular $10 admission price. Then come and hear Bill Staines for free on Thursday, 5/10/01, 8 PM, at the Advent Lutheran Church, Broadway & West 93rd Street in Manhattan. (Regular admission: $13.) Then come to the Spring Folk Music Weekend at the special members-only price.

Then come help us mail newsletters. Then help distribute flyers. Volunteer your home for a singing party or an ice cream social or a house concert. Before you know it you'll be elected to the board of directors. You could even become president some day.

Life as a member of NYPFMC just keeps getting better and better. Just ask Joy.
