10 May 01 - 09:28 AM (#459485) Subject: Roy Harris on WFDU From: GUEST,Ron Olesko A program note - Roy Harris will be my guest on WFDU-FM's TRADITIONS this Sunday May 13. TRADITIONS airs from 3 to 6pm on WFDU-FM - 89.1 in the NYC/Northern New Jersey area, or you can listen in via the internet through our website at www.wfdu.fm. I recently spoke to Roy from his home in South Wales. We chatted about the British Folk scene, his history with folk music, his days touring the U.S., his health, and even Al Jolson! We played a number of selections from his recordings, including his most recent Live at the Lion CD. Roy was a delight to talk to, and I hope you can join us! Ron Olesko Producer/Host |

A few of my shows, as well as that of my co-host Bill Hahn, are archived here on Mudcat. I have to admit that procrastination has kept me from sending more. Bill is on my case about it, and I will hopefully send some new shows in, including this one with Roy. Thanks again! Ron Olesko |

He also says that Ron Olesko is a knowledgeable folk person and a skilled broadcaster, whic combination makes his shows essential listening. |
