21 May 01 - 08:31 AM (#467128) Subject: RE: Tune Add: Computer Crash From: Les from Hull It seems to me be based on 'Coming through the Rye' or at least it starts off that way, but then seems to lose a four line structure. That might be a way of re-working it as a song. Les |

22 May 01 - 12:12 PM (#467904) Subject: RE: Tune Add: Computer Crash From: Louie Roy I firmly believe that most somgs start as a poem and then the music is added. This is a fun tune to sing and you can pick your own tune as to the way you sing.I use a two chord pattern D and a7 through out the whole tune and it fits. When you play in honky tonks for 50 years you learn to ad-lib.Here is an illustration(a man was playing in a bar and taking request)A lady came up to him and said sir do you know your pants are unsipped and your balls are showing and he said no but if you will humm a few bars of it I will certainly try to play it.Pick your own style. Another great poem that fit these two chords is G .I .Joe Louie Roy |
