You may remember the search for men in their prime to form a new Manband. No, I didn't get the call, here are the ones who did:
The line-up of ManBand, unveiled in a photo shoot at the Noble Rot restaurant in W1, is:

Reese Cannon, 51, from Cambridgeshire, who has worked as a military nurse in the American air force and is known as the "singing medic". He was a finalist four years ago on the ITV show Stars in Their Eyes.

Gordon Kenney, 50, from Docklands, who turned down a place at London University to sing in a rock band. Two years later the Incredible Hog enjoyed chart success in Europe and South America. "I didn't even bother to tell my children I got through to the finals," he said. "I'm a veteran of auditions, I've had more knock-backs than a cricket ball."

Tony Walthers, 50, from Streatham Hill. He was a singer in Las Vegas but got a "proper job" as a copywriter for Warner Brothers. For the past few years he has been working as a voice coach.

Les Short, 51, from Northumberland, started singing after his father died and he lost his job as a sales director 10 years ago. "I went into a pub and starting singing karaoke. When I finished the barmaids were crying," he said.

Al Hodge, 50, from Cornwall, is a singer and composer who started his first band at the age of 13. In the Eighties he teamed up with Leo Sayer to form his backing band and two world tours followed. "I couldn't believe it when I got a call from Kizzi to say I was in the band. I was drowning my sorrows with a pint of lager when the call came through," he said.

Watch out, Westlife.
