There's a version called Molly Durkin already listed, but this one's almost completely different. I got it from a 1967 album entitled "The World Famous and Justly Popular Barney Peters." Not sure about the spelling of some of the words, particularly "Kenturking".
GOODBYE MUIRSHEEN DURKIN
Since the days I went a-courtin'
So goodbye Muirsheen Durkin, sure, I'm sick and tired of working
I've courted girls in Blarney and Kenturking in Killarney
So goodbye Muirsheen Durkin, sure, I'm sick and tired of working
Goodbye to all the boys at home, I'm sailing far across the foam
So goodbye Muirsheen Durkin, sure, I'm sick and tired of working |
