How about a README for the mail editor

The README for the database was very helpful.

Is there someone who can provide one for the editor into we write these messages?

For example: Does it have a markup--so there are special symbols for line breaks, or even begin and end environment such as a quote environment? Or a no fill environment?

When I use it raw with Netscape it doesn't break lines at a CR. When I use a text browser, I can't even get a line break with a double CR.

I would also like to indent things.

There have been a couple of threads on HTML that I found helpful. I found it useful to have copied and pasted them into a simple word processor I have for my own reference.

Search HTML. If you don't find it, ask again here and I'll paste some things in.

Thanks Judy
I have done some HTML writing.
By telling me that it is HTML, I think my only problem
is to know how much to use
For example, Do I need the standard header
etc?

Anyway, I will experiment in this message.

Thanks

Murray

Forgive the extra message. The last one was coded in HTML, but not using the headers and footers. That seems to work!

Many thanks,

Murray

Hi, Murray - we got fancy a few months back, and things here at Mudcat started to slow down. It was fun while it lasted, but our gracious host Max asked us to stop. Best to keep it to line breaks, (br), (blockquote) indents, and paragraph (p) commands - and clickable links, if you're sure you know how to do 'em. Italics and bold print should be used very sparingly, Max asks.
Now, if you want to see how carried away we got, set your forum filter back to 365 days, and search under "Pooh." Gee, for a while, we even had a bootleg picture of Max posted.
