31 May 01 - 03:02 PM (#473793) Subject: Encoding with RealJukebox 2 Basic? From: hesperis Hi, I installed RealPlayer 8 and Realjukebox 2 (Basic) yesterday and then encoded two of my pieces to 105 kbps. They sound great. Today, after I read that 105 kbps is probably too high for non-DSL people to access, I wanted to record them at a lower rate. So I tried to record them at 32 kbps. Well, it said that I needed to update my drivers, and totally refused to record! It recorded fine yesterday! I don't want to install their suggested drivers, as there is no uninstall for them. (I will try uninstalling and reinstalling, but I don't want to have to do that everytime I record a song, assuming it works.) I have contacted their tech support about it, as it's pretty wierd, but it'll be a while before I can get a response from them. Oh, and I'm using an Atapi 48x CD-R, and an HP 9100 CD-RW (tried both, no luck,) Win98SE, AMDK6-2 400. And everything worked fine until I installed the RealPlayer products yesterday. (Now CDex isn't working either.) Help? Thanks... |
